Of course does other music count :-) Also painting, everything creative, really! <3
It can also be something you have already made, or already in print... main thing, it's from you, and it's not "AI" generated :)

In reply to <a href="https://strategies.schallundstille.de/language/en/welcome/#comment-15">Stan Stewart</a>.

Dear Stan,

thank you so much! What you write is spot on… I have (in what I fear is the distant past now) also improvised live on stage, and done quite a bit of live work and it's always been very rewarding, and I very much miss the contact and the communication with my audience.

My problem is, I also like the other side, retreating into the studio, tinkering with a track until it feels exactly the way I have it in my head, listening back to what my music tells me and building on that.

Btw, I don't think courage has anything to do with it – my dilemma is, I simply couldn't go on producing albums and having my friends ignore me and getting the feedback of maybe 3 people on the net.

I'm not looking for fame or the spotlight or anything. Almost been there, it was not to be, and that's ok. But just a little bit of communication and exchange… that's what's been missing more and more. And so far the offline album idea has been a remedy for that, as proven, for example, by your wonderful poem and photo :-)

Thanks for *your* creativity!

Stephan,

I'm so intrigued by your idea of an offline album. As a musician, improviser, and poet, I can only relate at the level of live performance. Especially when it's an improvisation, I know that what we (both me as the performer and the listeners) experience in the moment will be "real". Any attempt to capture it in recordings -- audio or video -- only tells a fraction of the story.
But this is quite different. You are crafting a recording, but not sharing it "online". I see this as a very brave act. Thanks for your courage and creativity.
In creative solidarity,
Stan

P.S. I've sent you a photo and poem.

Dear Don,

that sounds wonderful ❤️ I would *love* a small jar of honey from you. You cared for the bees, that counts as even better than creative in my book (I do voluntary work at an animal sanctuary mainly for horses ;-))

Looking really forward to it if you can manage it :-)

Have a great new year!

Kind regards

Dear Stephen, what a wonderful idea to begin a new year with. Maybe you are on to something here. I am not very artsy, I could send you something made of of wood that would not get used because I only make stuff (woodenware) for bees. Now, I do have a wonderful polyfloral honey from Vancouver Island. I did not make this either, the bees did the work. I did extract it, package it and keep good care of all the bees I have. Would you accecpt a small jar from me if I can figure a cheap way of getting it to you? Happy 2026! Danke.
